Vote for Jim!
I was talking with a friend today and they complained about the fact that Thome is just 4th in the first baseman voting while Nomar is first in the AL shortstop voting despite having played just 10-12 games, and he suggested that Phillies fans should get organized on the web. (Red Sox fans are organized with precision and tenacity that would have impressed Gen. George S. Patton.) I wholeheartedly agree and I want to encourage everyone who logs in to check out the MLB website and vote on-line for Thome, Abreu and the rest of the team for the All-Star game.
