More data... 

I just saw something interesting this evening ... Dave Pinto at Baseball Musings just published an interesting analysis of team defense in 2004 based on variences between probabilities of performance and actual performance in team defense. Given my personal fascination with defense in the game of baseball (so nice of you to notice, Philadelphia magazine!), I thought this is worth noting. (BTW- Dave ranks the Phillies as the sixth best MLB defense in 2004.)

I'll expand on this sometime soon...
