Drafty Notes

According to Jeff Passan at Yahoo! Sports, the Phillies are going to take Josh Smoker, a left-handed high school pitcher from Georgia. This team has enough pitchers ... Jim Salisbury from the Inquirer has a nice piece here about the Phillies and the draft. Looks like Phillies are leaning heavily towards a position player, but Salisbury notes that Smoker is on their radar.

Nice job by Jimmy Rollins stunning the Mets last night. Right when it looked like the Phillies were going to fritter away a chance to do some damage .... Now Cole Hamels can close up the sweep for the Phillies today.
